The First Post!

Hello Dear Readers ~ You found me!

Allow me to formally welcome you to my brand new (and hopefully forever) home: Kristin’s Veranda. Of course, right now, you’re on my new blog page: Vignettes, but I hope you will take the time to explore the other rooms in my home too: Kristin’s Vintage Garden – my brand new store (still under construction), Victuals – the new “kitchen” where all my posted recipes are easily categorized for your (and my!) searching ease, and the Virtual Veranda - which is a community hang-out powered by Blog Frog. I look forward to some great forum discussions (you can even start your own thread you know!) and live chats over there.~If you were already a GFC member on Living Graciously, this new feed should automatically end up on your dashboard, but if you were an e-mail subscriber, then you will (sadly) need to re-sign up unless I figure out how to transfer the feed in the meantime. The subscription form is at the bottom of the sidebar. I’m so sorry for that small inconvenience…

So what did you dears do over the weekend? Ours was a nice one. Not as productive as it should have been, but according to my love, we need those once and awhile! Saturday, after a yummy pancake breakfast, the girls (Caroline and me) went for a run:

We all came home completely exhausted (it was a hot morning!) so we spent the rest of the afternoon being lazy indoors enjoying the a/c. In the evening, we met up with some friends of ours for a ballroom dance party put on by the studio that we take lessons at, and it was a fun evening of good food, watching some routine exhibitions, and getting some dance practice in too! Ahhh…how I love dancing!

So now we’re all off and running into a brand new week! Where did the weekend go? Sunday was a blur… Woohoo for fresh starts though! Don’t tell anybody, but sometimes I even (sorta) like Mondays because of the clean slate they bring with them. You?

Monday: 7 Layer Salad – Garlic Bread

Tuesday: Chicken Chasseur – Crusty Herb Bread

Wednesday: Black Bean Burgers, Pear/Nut/Blue Cheese Salad

Thursday: Dinner with friends (I hear Cajun is on tap )!

Friday: Dancing and Date Night

Saturday: Leftovers

Sunday: Waffle Night
