The Sisterhood

Happy Weekend!!! Wow! A Saturday post! You know something is super special when I post on a Saturday. – So what’s the occasion? Glad you asked…

I wanted to tell you a little bit about The Sisterhood today. – You may have noticed that I’ve had a lil header over on my sidebar, right above two of the dearest souls in blogland: Tina from Like Ordinary Life, and Sheila from The Failte House. If you’ve never visited either of their blogs, you’ve been missing out! Both are excellent, inspirational writers, and share a similar viewpoint on life (living with intentionality), getting to know them has been such a gift!

So that’s who The Sisterhood is, and now for the what. Several months ago, I had this idea. A networking idea, meant to grow some deep ties with other bloggers with similarly themed blogs, and then from those ties, to help promote and encourage one another, oh, and have some really fun group activities too – with the hopeful “side effect” of eventual growth.

I reached out initially to a long list of bloggers that I had at least some thread of a connection with, and said that the first two to respond would be the very first “Sisterhood”. And a lucky girl I was when Tina and Sheila pressed “reply” before anyone else ! They have been such a joy to work with! You’ve seen them guest post here, and I’ve guest posted over at their places, we’ve held a craft idea day, and a Fall Sisterhood Giveaway together, not to mention all the tips and tricks we’ve shared with each other behind the scenes! Next up, we’ve got something cooking for Thanksgiving – so be sure and stay tuned…

I wanted to let you know, though, that this very first Sisterhood will be drawing to a close at the end of November, and a NEW Sisterhood will begin (lasting again for two months). – Does it sound like something you’d be interested in participating in? If you’d like to be a part of The Sisterhood, here are the only requirements:

*You must have a blog similar in genre to Vignettes
*You must post an average of 5-7 times a week with quality, original, family-friendly content
*You must be willing to commit to The Sisterhood by helping to promote each others posts/blogs
*You must currently have at least 100 followers
*You must be willing to write two guest posts, and participate in at least one group activity

As before, the first two who say “yes” are in! You can either leave a comment on this post or e-mail me.

Best part? Even when our “official” sisterhood ends this month, I know that Vignettes, The Failte House, and Like Ordinary Life will be forever interconnected and constant cheerleaders for each other! And isn’t that kind of connection just the best part about blogging?!
