A Winter White Mantel

Not sure why I’ve fallen into this monochromatic love affair of late, but ever since my mercury glass pumpkin vignette in the fall, I’ve been quite smitten with white and silver on our bedroom headboard-mantel. We added some richness and color for the Christmas holidays, but now that fresh starts, and crisp winter days are upon us, I’ve returned to the beautifully classic simplicity of white and silver when dreaming up the winter woodland theme to grace our bed for the next few months. Of course, I chose to use some natural and antique elements too (some of which I’ve used on previous mantelscapes), to balance out the juxtapose that is “our style”.

Love it! Very suggestive of cold, clear mornings and snowy winter days. For as much as I love Christmas, I’m all about cleaning up, redecorating and reinvigorating spaces as soon as the decorations come down. I spent most of the weekend doing that in my two residences (I’m between my parents’ house and my fiance’s apartment at the moment!), and it feels so good to have everything refreshed!

I agree Meg! There is something so fresh and wonderful about taking all the Christmas decor down, isn’t there? I too, love things being so festive for the holidays, but I also love the fresh clean way the house feels in January! Thanks for shopping by today :-)
