Happy Fridays m’dears! Will you not agree with me that Fridays have become sort of the “dump day” of blogland? Of course this is a generalization, but lots of us just kind of throw something up as an afterthought as we’re busy counting down the hours ’til the weekend! Many, many, many blogs I read feature their sponsors on Friday. Sweet and all, but I for one, rarely (if ever) read sponsor posts. For over a year I’ve posted “Friday’s Foto Felicity”s because a) I really love taking photos of nature and b) really love posting inspirational quotes, but it was also a way to not have to do much work on this common low-traffic blogging day. -
But I’ve been inspired (perhaps because of the New Year?) to give something new a try on Fridays! I want to finish the week off with a bang and share some outfit posts, along with a few of my very favorite inspirational/helpful reads in blogland from the previous week with you. They are ALL worth a few minutes of your time – I promise!

The outfit for this week features a color that I’m typically not very fond of: purple. But when I saw this cashmere beauty at the JCrew Sample Sale (for $20!), I was drawn to its cozy warmth, and rich amethyst hue. Surprisingly, it works really well with lots of the more neutral colors in my wardrobe. It’s a keeper!

My weekend may or may not consist of pulling down my Christmas decorations. I just haven’t decided if I’m ready to handle that mess just yet.

I know what you mean about the Christmas decorations. I’ve got all mine down now (finally), and have the winter/everyday decor up as of yesterday, but all the Christmas chaos is all over my guest room! I still consider myself new to the blogging world, but it didn’t take me long to figure out that Fridays were a bit of a snore. I have loved your Friday Foto Felicity posts though (even if I may not have a comment)…but this new idea is fresh, interesting and inspiring as well.
