The Mr. and I are super lucky: when it snows, both of our jobs are cancelled for the day – even though we’re not school teachers! So as you can imagine, we look forward to snow days every bit as much as your average 7 year old
.
How do you spend your snow days?

SO COZY!
Nothing cozier than a snow day
!
This made me smile and also made me feel jealous rage… Haha
Do you guys have snow today?? I feel like Lexington is always getting the short end of the snow stick! Your photos are gorgeous, and your pup is so cute!
No, not today…this was from Friday actually. Just some ice this morning.- Btw., I need to ask you a design question – will send you an e-mail right after this!
Yeah, we got a little then too. It seems like Roanoke and DC always get more than we do! And that sounds good
Beautiful photos! It snowed a little bit here today, unfortunately it wasn’t enough to warrant a snow day. In cozy clothes and slippers, under blankets, sipping tea is my favorite way to spend a snow day.
Ahhhhh! Sounds just perfect Allie!
I’m jealous! I can’t wait until I live in a place that has snow days, even if I don’t get them. Also, I love your new design!
I hope you do one day! I don’t think I could endure winters without snow
. And thank you!!! It’s in progress, so there will be quite a few more changes, but this is where things stood once I ran out of weekend to fiddle around with it. Ha! Happy Monday my friend!
I don’t get snow in California
But if I did, I would spend it inside sipping hot cocoa and watching movies. I love your new blog layout!
Thank you Barbie! Sending snow-y thoughts your way!
You are both super lucky — working at a newspaper, we only close under times of extreme, extreme circumstances! In my five years on staff, we’ve closed once during a massive snowstorm in February 2010 — and only because we knew it was coming, so we could send our editions to press a day early. Whew, it was nuts! And your photos are lovely, haha
We got some snow in Maryland last week, but only an inch or so! That’s enough for me — can’t wait for spring!
Spring is just around the corner, right?! Oh, and thank you
I’m workin’ on ‘em! Hope your week is off to a great start Meg!
These pictures look heavenly! I think I”m due for a snow day!
Thank you Darby! Do you ever get snow where you are??
I am dying for your fireplace. We have a few nonnegotiable’s in our next home. A fireplace is one.
Hopefully we have plenty of snow days this year!
Ah, yes. A fireplace was on our “non-negotiable” list too when we purchased this home! Fingers crossed for more snow days
!
Oh, I enjoyed the snow too (except for the drive home from work… eeps!). I spent the day crafting while sipping hot tea. You make me wish we had a fireplace. So cozy.
What a perfect way to spend a snow day
. That WAS a hairy commute Friday night though, huh? So glad you made it home safely!!
How wonderful that you both had a snow day together!!! Nothing like getting a spare day off. Sometimes one day can seem like a whole extra weekend!!! I would spend it drinking tea or coffee while catching up on letter writing or a good movie. Hope you had a great monday! =)
You’re so right…it is wonderful to find yourself with a “bonus day”! Letter writing…what an excellent idea for a snow day! Thanks for stopping by and saying hello Maggie!
Love these pictures and the news of a snow day!!!
Your blog is looking good too!
Thanks Victoria! The blog is in progress…I worked on it over the weekend, then ran out of “play time”, so it is on hold until I am able to “play” some more! Hooray for snow days!
I love love love snow days! Unfortunately we hare hardly had any snow this winter or last
I love to sit inside with a mug of hot chocolate and watch the snow fall. Love the pictures
Our snow has been on the skimpy side of late too Veronica. I’m from New England, so I love LOTS of snow! But in VA, we take what we can get…however meager it may be
. You’re right, there is just nothing more peaceful than being warm and cozy inside and watching the snow float peacefully down to the earth, is there?
How nice that you 2 got to spend an extra day together …because of Snow! Your snow pictures are beautiful!
